SEPTEMBER 11 Dragons 14 - Farmers 6 The Farmers lost the season's opening football game by a tune of 14 to 6. Senior halfback Johnny Norris was hurt during this game, and the accident was felt by the Farmers throughout the season. Seeing their first action for the Farmers were Billy Rich, Noel Daniels, Johnny Miller, and Johnny Edwards. Mangham led Farmerville in first downs, 7 to 3. A large crowd traveled to Coushatta only to see a game in which two touchdowns were called back for the Farmers. Although the Farmers lost, they outgained Coushatta by over 100 yards.

Farrar, are pictured in grueling action with Tallulah. SEPTEMBER 25 Trojans 36 - Farmers 6 The Farmers lost their third outing to the Tallulah Trojans, the defending state champions in Class A. The Farmers put up a good first half stand but were completely outclassed in the second half. Ill' EMMETT SILMON OCTOBER 2 Tigers 40 - Farmers 13 The Farmerville Farmers surprised everyone by scoring 13 points upon the powerful Neville Tigers, AA State Champions. Kirby Morris took a pass and turned it into the Farmers' first touchdown. Joe Albritton col- lected the second touchdown on a three yard plunge across the center of the line.
