Officers The Farmerville High School Band, under the direction of Mr. Frank Wilson, participated in many special events ofthe area during school year. This year they performed in Christmas parades at Ruston, West Monroe, and Farmervilleg also they gave their annual Christmas COHCGFI. Other marching activities in which the band participates annually are the District I Marching Fes- tival, 4-H Club Achievement Day, and the Miss America Parade in Arcadia. DA NIEL BRYAN CHARLES ALBRITTON BILLIE REX GREEN RONNIE RUGG BECKY SCOTT JUDY ADAMS LARRY GADDIS Officers ln February the band sponsored the traditional band clinic in which students of Crowville, Rayville, West Monroe, Arcadia, Winnsboro, and Fartnerville partici- pated. This year we were fortunate in having as direc- tors Mr. Tommy Tyra, band director at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, and Mr. Wcndall Evansin, di- rector at Henderson State Teachers College, Arkadelphia, Arkansas. This year the invitation to perform at halftime during a basketball game at Louisiana Tech was accepted and was considered by the students a high point of the season. Spring finds the band busily preparing for the Solo and Ensemble Contest, Minstrel, Music Festival in Rus- ton, Spring Concert, and this year the eagerly antici- pated biennial concert tour. OO
