The spirit of FHS students came to a huge climax at the last pep rally of the season. As shown by the picture, everyone was behind the Farmers in a big way for the conference clash with Winnfield. Phyliss White is shown receiving one of the beautiful white sweaters presented to each of the cheerleaders by Mr. Clinton, initiating the first step toward re- outfitting the entire pep squad. Pep Rallies Our coaches have turned into so-called cheerleaders for this pep rally. FHS is indebted to them for keep ing up the spirit during football season. Up in the air are Albritton, Bankston, Carpenter, and Albrit- IOl'1. Wk Special Presentations Henry Burk Malone presented shirts to the entire coaching staff from the team in appreciation of their time and energy during the football season. Coach Bankston is receiving his gift as Coach Albritton comes forward to get his.

Gridiron Activities The senior members of the pep squad and band were honored during the last half-time activity on the gridiron as each one's name was called over the loud speaker and they proudly, but sadly, stepped forward FHS spam After a very spirited pep rally held in the auditorium, the majorettes and band led a long line of students resembling a snake dance down main street. Even the football team and the coaches joined in! The football team, led by the cheerleaders dressed in their new sweaters, came bursting through a decorated football under the goal post before the last game with Winnfield. The band, majorettes, and pep squad were lined on each side and gave a rousing cheer as the team appeared. ,wH ' At the end of the snake dance, in the center of the business district, the cheerleaders led the students and townspeople in yells for the team as they sat on the curb and watched. The band played Saints, and the crowd was off again, this time back to the school.

Mr. E. J. Albritton plays Santa Claus to the teachers as they exchange gifts among themselves. Mr. Nolan and Coach Carpenter are about to receive their gaily wrapped packages. Faculty Mr. Clinton proudly shows off his gift, a very pretty shirt, presented him by the high school faculty. Mr. Wilson was in charge ofthe presentation. 'Caja' Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Kemp really got quite a laugh out of this game. Mrs. Kemp, our math teacher, guessed closest to the number of pieces of candy in the jar and received them as the reward. Mrs. Wiley is in the process of taking Mrs. Miller's gift as Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Eldred look around for one they would like to take. The snack trays Mrs. Miller chose seemed to be quite popular, since they passed through the hands of every one of the teachers! i , Concentration must be hard, but it can be fun, this picture seems to say of Mrs. Andrews and Mrs. Rabun, as they try to spell words from a handful of Alpha- bits letters. f K ftgu f. 43' X Mr. E. J. Albritton entered his guess even though he didn't win. Looking on are Mrs. Johnston, Mrs. Tanner, Mrs. Harston, Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Harper, and Mrs. Barron. C' ...-....... ..1 3s.
