HORACE NOLAN Principal Farmerville Elementary B.A . , Louisiana Tech M.E. , LSU The staff and sponsors of the yearbook are to be commended for their excellent work. I am sure that I speak for the faculty and student body of the Farmerville Elementary School when I say that this PINE KNOT is one to be appreciated. It is evident thatmany hours ofplanning , time, and work have been required to make the publication possible. The yearbook is an example of the type of work that you can do. May the experience that you have had serve to remind you that worthwhile things do not come easy, but are a result of choice, study, and hard work. Sincerely, HORACE NOLAN

W. D. CLINTON Principal Farmerville High B.A . , Louisiana Tech M.E. , LSU The students of the class of 1960 are to be congratulated upon the outstanding yearbook they have produced. It is the result of extensive planning, long and hard work by the students, coupled with able leadership of their sponsors - Mrs. Lillian Miller and Mrs. Marjorie Wade. This book will serve as a mirror for all students into which they may look and review the activities of the school year 1959-60 at Farmerville High School. For the senior class, I hope this year will be the most memorable one of their high school career. May I take this opportunity to wish for all students the best of everything - especially the seniors as they will soon face some of the realities of life. Sincerely yours, W. D. CLINTON
