Clic' I 955 fu- 5256 PUBLISHED BY THE SENIORS OF FARMER SCHOCL FARMER NORTH CAROLINA MJ Ed't .Ad ' onward We have watched Farmer grow, just as we have grown. While still in the elementary school we tried to add two and two above the beating of hammers, the rumble of bulldozers and the other noises that went with constructing our new high school building. Being the first Freshman class in the new building gave us quite a thrill. As Sophornores we realized that we were one step nearer our goal, not only toward corn- pleting a high school education, but also toward maturity. As our student body and organizations grew, we found we were Juniors with great respon- sibilities. It was a year we shall never forgetg a year in which we worked for progress and attain- ed our goal. It was hard to realize in the fall of '54 that we were really Seniors. But as the year pro- gressed we saw mature boys and girls who had lifted their eyes to new ideas, ideals, and horizons. We reached for the stars, and found ours, to fulfill the greatest commencement. And so the changing of classes, club meetings, fish fry, parties, Halloween Carnivals, May Day Programs, basketball games, senior play, trip to Washington, Junior-Senior Banquets, weiner roasts, as well as the joys and sorrows shared with friends, are now in the past. In this edition of Far-Echoes we seek to bring back to you lingering memories as we lived them.
