l I T Af, r it or e..:51l-H-5?-'figf 1 1 r Q.. - History of the Senior Class One morning in September 1925 a group of boys and girls gathered from all directions at the Farm Life School. To us it was an exceedingly important group for it was composed of-ourselves! The sky was cloudy at first' then the sun shone. It was a good omen' we feel that ever since then the sun has been shining on the class of Twenty-nine. Naturally the upper classmen tried to show us A few things so we showed them a few more Our first manifestation of hostilities was the selection of Ruth Cauble for president and Miss Worshaw for our advisor Coming back the next fall we found that Mr Johnson had taken charge and was reorganizing the school very much for the better That year Miss Jones and Mr Karriker became our class advisors and fortun atelv they still are As 1un1ors we had a better class organization than before Since we were having a larger part ln the school life more pleasure in our work and play was ours But the last year has been the best For piesident we chose Elma Patterson whose ability for managing class affairs has been shown ever since she entered high school The business manager of THE PARROT emovs the distinction of having served in that capacity during both his 1un1or and senior years It IS unnecessary to speak of his success it IS so well known Virgil in his greatest latin poem says There are twin gates of sleep fSunt geminae Somni portael Through those are our high school days about to pass never to be awakened except in memory Happy we have been to attend such a school' May what we have learned enable us to take an ex er broadening view of God s great Universe which apparently has no end and of our Earth within it CARL HAMMER Page Thirty seven 'Y . ! 7 K ' v Y , K R K v ' 9 v ' v ca va 1 '- ' y v Y . . . . . , , . , , .
