Ever- one seemed to score for us this year. junior defenseman Kurt Stlrecht led all scorers with 29 points. Other top scorers included junior Paul Honl, sophomores Sean and Shawn Lewton and Mark Stensgard. High scoring junior Paul Honl raises his stick in jubilation after he scores a goal against the Jamestown Bluejays at the Fargo Coliseum during regular season action. Freshman john Stensgard sees an opening and tries to put the puck past the Jamestown defense and goalie as his sophomore linemates Todd Pavek and Mark Stensgard watch.

Coach Mardy Dosland, S, Gunderson, J. Lipp, l. Fischer, J. Vennerstrom, K.. Westerholm, D. Kaufman, l. Konrad, D. Hagel, P, Harty, T. Zimmerman, J. Current, L. Pryzbilla and E. Curran are the members of the girls junior varsity basketball team. Coach Carol Schmallen, S. Lund, B. Vidger, K. Bentley, C. Kelsch, S. Peterson, K. Eide, V. Hendricks, L. Workin, j. Stock, J. Leverson, M. Krieg, M. Pugh and L. Biwer are the members of the freshman girls basketball team with a 5-7 season record. Kaufman Leads jVp Krieg, Pugh Top Frosh I was pleased with the last part of the season... stated Mardy Dosland, the girls JV coach for the 1977 season. Al- though their final season re- cord was 4-10, the last four games proved to be four of the best. This year there was a change in players as two fresh- men, Missy Krieg and Michelle Pugh, were added to the team. jenny Konrad and Darla Kauf- man led the team as leading re- bounder and scorer. Konrad had 64 rebounds while Kauf- man had 63 rebounds. Kauf- man, had 80 points, .followed by Pugh with 69 points,-7 They learned to keep their cool... they were a great bunch of girls, commented Dosland. Carol Schmallen, coach of the girls freshman basketball team, guided them to a 5-7 record for the season. The frosh won their last game which gave' them the conso- lation in the Inter-City play. Pugh and Krieg were the best players according to Schmallen. Pugh was the lead- ing scorer for the first half of the season and Linda Biwer was the leading scorer for the last half with 107 points. Karen Bentley was second with 61 points. Cyrena Kelsch was the leading rebounder. Very enioyable season, girls worked hard, commented Schmallen.

South won the game Demon's shot to make a chest save. Gregory had a shutout going 8-2 which ended a Bruin slump and improved their record to 6-7.
