Commercial Art, ewelry Course Additions to Art New classes have been added to the Art Department A semester course on jewelry to fami iarize students with jewe ry techniques was offered to Crafts 3 classes This class was taught by Al Hanson and included repair of jewelry, cost of materials, appreciation of design and material concerning the history of making jewelry Commercial Art was the ad dition to the department This class teaches different styles of selling an idea or a service This acquaints a student with another vocational possibility 2 ---,C K . Williams jones, City Orchestras In Performance Orchestra traditions have been upheld at South this year. One of the traditions was the combination concert with North and the performances for the elementary schools. The joint concert February 5, featured Williams jones, Min- neapolis Youth Symphony di- rector, as the guest conductor. The combination chamber orchestras of North and South performed in concert on March 5 with the Delphi String Quar- tetjoining them as guests.
