Stuart Uggen Band jazz Concert, Chicago lunket Highlight Year Stuart Uggen and john Syverson directed the bands. A jazz concert performed by Buddy Baker, Dick Cheadle and Roger Pemberton, musi- cians of international stature, was the highlight of the year. State band competition was consistent with previous years as superior ratings were given to the Horn Trio and the Brass Choir. Four students received awards at the jazz festival in Bismarck. Seniors traveled to Chicago to see Chorus Line , to hear the Chicago Symphony and to visit the art museums. Wind Ensemble band members for the 1977-78 year are as follows: Front Row: L. Pederson, K.
