He succeeded Ed Raymond, nowanegotiator. I think the kids are super, Spence explained, South has an outstanding curriculum and fine teachers. He made his presence known by increasing hall supervision and tightening the attendance system. A clerk, Ellen McGeehan, was hired to check slips and call parents.
