Ten members of South's German Club were able to attend Concordia College's language camp this year. Over half of the expenses were paid from money raised from the sales held by the club. This year's club consisted of sixteen students. A weekend field trip to Winnipeg highlighted the year for members of the French Club. Clown divers did various stunts to amuse the crowd. Twelve girls were chosen to' join the Aquarians. Election of officers are held every year, this year senior Lori Wightman was elected as president along with Tracy Kippen as secretary-treasurer. A very unique part of the show was the use of two new under water speakers purchased from funds raised in previous years. This years show was a great success, stated adviser Claire Heath. Michelle Kelly and Nancy Renner hula to Elvis' 9 Clown divers and light and sound crews are, Front Row: D. Reif, V. Naylor, D. Radcliff, D. jahnke, Rnw 2: M. Schneider, C. Hornbacher, J. Petterson, J. Klein, L. Rykpkema, C. Hilleboe. Row 3: D. Dahl, R. Haarstad, J. Millar, D. Webber, D. Webber, S. Rey. Row 4: 1. Leverson, A. Cambill, B. Belk, K. Kollman, E. Aleckson, M. Trom and R. Millar. They were directed by Claire Heath. l l Seniors Lisa Anderson and Nancy Boatman represent China in lt's a Small World . A Moonlight Swim which represented Tahitti. They did the skit with two other Aquarian members to the song Kung Fu Fighting . one hundred nineteen

The group adviser Pat Papacek felt that the trip was good experience. A 5100 scholarship, funded by money from sales held by the Foreign Exchange Club was given to an applicant from South High. The award was given to the recipient on Awards Day. About fifteen students were active in the club that played host to three students from foreign countries. Flannigan, adviser H. Lee and T. Stenjhem. 'UK Ol! QQ' Spanish Club members are, Front Row: A. Dias, C. Izzo, D. Kenward, adviser C. Bommersbach. Row 2: M. Edgerly, L. Alton, B. Miller and P. Schmidt. Spanish Club was the smallest club. The Gong Show was the theme for this skit done by German students. This skit was used during the state German convention.
