Wetjen amcd Captains For arsity Girls B-ball Winning may not be everything, but we don't practice to come in second, was the motto for the girls basketball season. Under the new coach Allyn Workman the varsity team fin ished 7-8 for the year. I was not disap- pointed at all after we were .1-5 at a time. I feel that our team improved tremendous- ly and surprised many Al Workman people with our final record, commented Workman. On the strong points, he stated of the team, lt's desire to im- prove and be a winner. We worked on our passing, shooting, driving and rebound- ing and saw improved results at the end of the season. At one time in the season, the team had five straight wins to its credit, but they were defeated by Wah- peton. Sophomore Aldean Lee and senior Tammy Wetjen were selected by the team as season co-captains. Deb Saxe assisted Workman and coached the JV. ninety-three
