Gregory Hagen replaced David Givens, who retired last year as electronics instructor. Hagen was at one time a student teacher under Givens. The mechanics classes had a new approach this year. The course was divided into four sec- tions and the students moved from one to another. The four sections included brakes and transmission, engines, electrical and tuning. Construction was the key word in the building trades area. Some of these projects were a floor plan, several different types of model roofs, portable ice houses, model houses, and a two-bedroom house. For the first time, three girls joined the welding classes. i'They have outshined the guys,,'claimed welding instructor Arliss Fedje. 1 Senior Jim Petterson fin white shirtl works on fixing the vertical control knob on the Junior Mike McCormick works on his house plans during television set while completing one of the many projects in his Electronics 2 class. his Architectural Drafting 1 class taught by Mr. Torgerson. forty-five
