Classes Elect Student President You can only really learn more about politics by becoming invol- ved with politics, stated Mr. Jim Moen, government teacher. His semester-long classes held mock governmental elections, complete with four candidates and four pol- itical parties. Some of these issues includ- ed abortion, the legalization of marijuana and busing. As for this new way of getting politics across to high school students, Mr. Moen said, lt,s something different. The classes took one bus to the State Hospital in Fergus Falls, and toured the hospital's facilities. The classes also heard speakers.
