One of the best known elements of the AFROTC program was the color guard units which performed at the various school and civic func- tions during the school year. Highway Safety was taught to all sophomores during the second semester. This program was di- vided into two main areas: the classroom section and the behind- the-wheel section. The students also had the experience of the driving range located at North High school. This was the second year for the operation of the range.
