One of the many projects completed by the ILC students included the Sucker Day, as well as a disco dance in accordance with Bruce Wang. Some students were expected to report every study hall while others reported in whenever free. Some of the in-school activities of the ILC included schoolwork, attendance and other related ac- tivities. The outside activities in- cluded field trips to Valley City State, Moorhead Tech, Moorhead State. The students also went to movies, on a ski trip and out to eat occasionally. The students also worked on promoting the program. Trip 'LThe things l'm most proud of, said Betty Anderson, the director, is the fact we raised over S300 for Bruce Wang. All Sophs Take Highway Safety AFRCTC, aerospace, was coor- dinated by Col. John Hinton and the courses were taught by Sgt. Chester Charleton and Col. Hin- ton. In the aerospace program the students were introduced to the basic information concerning the aerospace industry along with the basic elements of the military. One of the best known elements of the AFROTC program was the color guard units which performed at the various school and civic func- tions during the school year. Highway Safety was taught to all sophomores during the second semester. This program was di- vided into two main areas: the classroom section and the behind- the-wheel section. The students also had the experience of the driving range located at North High school. This was the second year for the operation of the range.
