Bruce Wang Benefit Sponsored y Council Student Council was happy with its accomplishments this year, which were putting on the Bruce Wang Benefit, a dance andcarnival to raise money for Bruce Wang, a sophomore who has aplactic anemia. Also the west parking lots gained lights. Two other projects are setting up an activities charter, which coordinates club's activities for different times. Money was raised by selling products and helping at the Up-With-People concert. They also sponsored dances and pep fests. President of the Student Council is Peggy Klein, with Leslie Stockman as the vice president, and Paula Chalarnonczyk as the treasurer. All class officers are members. Senior Terri Freeman and Mrs. Cathy Fergu- son prepare a wishing well for the benefit. Student Council representatives tor the 1976- 1977 school year are Front Row: D. Hayer, J. Melby, L. im johnson Named DECA Club President DECA, under the supervision of second year adviser Bruce Harmon, had 28 members. Jim Johnson was the club's presi- dent while Denae Ista was vice president. Other club officers were D. VanZante, secretary, J. Eide, treasurer, D. Rasmussen, reporterg and L. Burtness, par- liamentarian. During the school year the club raised money from the school store. At state DECA was awarded three first places, two second places and one third. Vocational Industrial Clubs of America was advised by Ed Scheveck for the'76-77 year. VICA president was V. Muscha. FBLA, advised by Cathy Fer- guson and Grleen Gilchrist, made no changes for the year. Three FBLA members are juniors Janet Meyer, Jennie Magdenfrau and Carla Wetjen IWW' State DECA officers Jim Johnson, Jay Kasdan and Carol Coulter.
