Debate Team Captures Second Place In Tourney Foreign Exchange Club was headed by John Snyder with Connie Davis as president, Te- resa Smith as vice president and Ruben Orth as club treasurer. The Foreign Exchange Club had five foreign exchange students staying at various members homes during the school year. Debate which was coached by Nancy Jordheim had a very active year. The JV team took second place at Barnesville. Allen Fleeker took second place in his division in debating. Speech, coached by Elizabeth Urban, took many awards. The team took five awards home from Barnesville. Tim Gokey and Karen Zenner made finals in the State Speech Tourney. l l Foreign Exchange Club members are Front Zimmerman, M. Woolf, J. Burtness, A. Borge, M. Fabian and H. Kruger. The Keywanettes were newly organized this year and have become the female opposite of the all-male organization the South High Key Club. Jail was part of the fun for Jeff Le- clerc during the Wang Benefit, L 34,000 Other projectsilisinclude T f J two blood drives, participation , in the Cerebral Palsy Telethone, helping at the Kiwanas Pancake Day, giving a car wash and donations to charities. Senior Matt Haakenstad was president of the club having 25 members. Keywanettes was the female side of Key Club. They worked . with Key Club on only a couple projects including the haunted Keywanettes Combine In Projects ti iii 2541151 Cassie Gravel, right, appears bewitched by the ghoulish scene of Ann Borge's head.
