Drama Club Produces wo Plays, Musical Starting off the year, South I-ligh's Drama Club put on a 3-act comedy, Pillow Talk , directed by club adviser Lee Myxter. The winter play, The Hellem, P. Henning. Row 3: S Wenz, D Jacobsen, D. Dahl, B. Blatchford, J. Walters G. Ista, R. Geston, M Wolff and L. Jacobsen Prime of Miss Jean Brodie , was directed by John Snyder. ln April, South students join- ed together and produced No, No, Nanette' ', a musical comedy set in the gaiety of the twenties. The Drama Club's major pro- ject for the year was another trip to the Guthrie Theatre in Min- neapolis. To raise the money, they sponsored a dance featur- ing Silver and sold jewelry. Elected 1976-77 officers were Sari Levine, president, Mary Knox, vice president and Pat Henning, secretary-treasurer. one hundred twenty-five .

Cheerleaders Chosen To Promote Seho l spirit Spring of 76 was tryout time for any South girls wishing to become cheerleaders. A total of . 34 girls were asChOS2IT1T!fO1' South l-lighls six cheerleading squads. The wrestling cheerleaders have added junior Pam Buchholz to their squad as an alternate. Besides getting together over the summer for practice some of the groupsvvent to cheerleading clinics at regional universities. Each squad helped promote School spirit during the orqsqr year. '76-'77 cheerleading advisors included Barb Grant for Varsity, Claire Heath fort.tBfisquadg .Rose Hecomovich for both Hockey and Wrestling, Mary Hoffman for the Swirnmsing squad and Cindy Lee for the Freshmen.
