South irls in EDC Indoor, Outdoor Track Titles The girls track team experienced a successful season, winning several meets and never placing lower than third. Depth and balance proved the key to South in the winning of the EDC indoor and out- door titles, a first in district and a third place finish in state. Veteran coach Jan . Cossette stated, I - was well pleased with everyone's performance and attitude. This year was one of my most enjoyable teams that l've coached. Deb Anderson, assistant track coach, and Dave Kampa, long distance coach, contributed im- mensely to the team's improved season. Individual places in the state meet at Dickinson went to Becky Krieg with a first in the mile and a third in the 880 and Bobbie Quenette with a first in the shot put. Carolyn Olgaard took second in the hurdles, and June Kloubec took a fifth in the 220. Other points came in the relays.
