JV, Freshmen Hockey Teams port Winning Records Coached under Mr. Frank Schaffer, the JV hockey squad ended their season with an 8-1 win over Devils Lake. Compiling a record of 11-5-1, the H JV icers showed im- 3 pressive wins over V My Grand Forks Central, it E 1 W North and Crookston. Defeating North twice, QQ it the JV team was lead gg jx Eff. by sophomore goalie ?53,,3f - ' 3:QTff.'Qff:g: Don I-lawkinson and ff7Z:? ': h- h- Fx Al Henry freshman wing Warren King. Hawkinson also saw varsity action. Ending their season with a winning record K7-6-ll the C squad team under Mr. Bob Johnson was victorious over rival North High in two meetings. The C team defeated the Spartans 3-2 in their first meeting, 5-3 in their second and tied North 4-4 in their final meeting of the season. They were also victorious over Grand Forks Central 3-2, but they ended the season with a narrow loss to the Grand Forks Red River Roughriders 6-5. It was Johnson's second year. one hundred seven
