' FA 'wa' wa' Hockey Team Impressive Despite State Tourney Loss Capturing second in the Dakota Con- T ference and defeating both Grand Forks The movements are there but the puck is in the net as Doug Stensgard, top of photo teams, the varsity hockey team under Matt Andrews l7l and f'11, a JV squad member score again on Red River icers Coaches Dave Roddy and Al Henry finished their season with an impressive 19-7 record. Although losing the opening round to Bot- tineau in the state tournament, Coach Roddy was still pleased with the Dave Roddy team's season and their determination to win. Highlighting the season were wins over Grand Forks Red River K6-2l and Grand Forks Central K5-4l. The Bruins also surprised North in the South Regional Tournament be defeating the Spartans 5-1 to capture first place., Once again senior Dave Thune was the leading scorer for South. Thune set a school record with 38 goals and 51 assists. Jeff Huguelet and Dave Cleaver were second and third leaders scorers with 46 and 43 pOll'1'tS respectively.
