Keegan irls ollcyball Ends Year With 3-1 Record Against North South girls acquired a new winter sport this year with volleyball. In its first year of existence fifty girls were involved in the four different teams under the coach- ing of Esther Cook. The players were di- vided up into four teams: A, B, C, and D. Competition was limit- ed to North where South won three of the four matches. Nancy Fisher served as captain for the A team and was elected best server and most spirited. Other awards went to Carla Wetjen, most hustleg Cindy Pugh, best bumperg Kathi Bruggeman, best setter, and Lisa Breiland, the best spiker. This year was only a beginning, but a good beginning, commented Cook. We made a lot of progress in a short season. Next year we hope to have more schools to play and more organized sche- dules which should lead to even more team spirit and winning play, she said. '55,- ,XX Esther Cook one hundred three
