Alling, U16 Scniar year As we begin our senior year at Falmouth, we are taking one more step up the long ladder of life. Being in our last year of school, we pause to look down the ladder at the great many steps behind us. We remember that first day in subprimary and the long years in grammar school. Then there was junior high school, bringing about many ad- justments associated with adulthood. Finally we took the big step into high school. How we remember our freshman year filled with wonder and excitement-the opportunity to accept responsibility and to be dealt with like adults! As we look back on it, we realize how great an admiration we had for the Senior Class. We looked to them as leaders and saw in them a goal which at that point seemed out of our reach. But the weeks turned into months and the months into yearsg and we moved steadily, step by step, up the long ladder. Now, as seniors, we realize how fast that time has passed. Some of us look back on it with regrets for lack of preparation in our studies and participation in activities. We beseech the underclassmen not to make these same mis- takes. The biggest regret seems to be that in a few short months, we shall leave for a rather doubtful and less secure life in the world outside. How can we ever express our feelings for F.I-I.S.? How could we ever forget the memories of these priceless years- participating in school organizations and activities, uniting with one another in school spirit to cheer on our teams, and working with one another in class and on special proj- ects. Now that the time to leave is drawing near, we realize our high school life will always be a part of usg and we hope that we shall be remembered by both students and faculty in the years to come.
