One Final Word The transition of this book from 224 blank pages to what you see before you now is a transition that does not come about without a tremendous amount of co-ordination and hard work from a great number of people. Now that all of the work has been completed and is headed for the printers, it’s time to give credit to all of the people who have labored long and hard to give faces to these pages. First I would like to congratulate the staff as a group for their uplifting spirit and genuine willingness to get the work done — and I have to say to them, it has been a real pleasure to have worked with you, and I hope that you are always as thorough and dependable in everything you do, as you have been with this book. The Golden Crutch Award goes to the business staff for the solid financial support they provided; a record number of 21 pages of ads. Brian Albert and Becky McLane stand out as especially enterprising ad solicitors, and Ed Murphy is due gracious thanks for his year of dependable service both on the street and in school doing layouts right up to the very end (today!). I would like to thank, individually, the following staff members; Brian Albert, Mike April - Sports, Lira Cabral, Laura Conley, Farrell Despres - Seniors, Sharon Di Francesco - Underclassmen and Clubs . . . organizations £r enthusiasm, Linda Eklund - Dedication, Anna Martinho, Ed Murphy, Michelle Perry Maryanne Marschall - Opening Section, Michelle Phelan - Faculty . . . Mike Cabral Elliot Rappaporr - Artwork, Bob McDevitt - Computer programer, and all of the members of the ' S3 staff who worked with us this spring, Lisa Anderson, Lisa Caron, Margie Coughlin, Donna Johnson, Peter Lennon, Kelley Patrick, Kurt Roith, Greg Wimer, Tammy Woodward and Tara Yando. Thanks to the photo staff of Mike April (again), Mike Bancroft, John Cummings and Warren Donnelly — with help from.J.C. Burke, John Carroll, Jeannette Field Amy Rader (Falmouth Enterprise), Andy Mello, Frank Nunes and Barry Sadoff and, in addition to Brian, Becky and Ed, the entire advertising staff who, under the direction of Business Manager, Janet Spring, gave us a much needed financial shot in the arm when we were beginning to feel the effects of Proposition M. Likewise, I would like to say thank you to all of our advertisers, patrons and of course, students who purchase the book, for making it possible for us to have the opportunity to make this book happen each year. And finally, to all of those people who have supported us in so many other different and important ways all year long - we are in your debt! Among those who I would like to recognize; Janet Spring, thank you for keeping this operation going full-steam ahead and for helping to streamline our crazy billing system; Peg King, thanks for helping to keep straight all of the carry over from last years book; thanks to Barry Sadoff for his invaluable and enthusiastic help in co-producing the Super Show; to Jim Kalparis for his 100% support as Director of Student Activities Director; to my wife, Russie and my son, Daniel for helping me out with art work in a pinch and for making room for the yearbook to literally invade our home. And, of course, thank you to all of the parents, brothers and sisters who were kind enough to give rides or to make a car available so that the work could go on. Thank you, one and all, Jim Wight-Waltman - Advisor July 1982
