 MAN OF THE YEAR Mr. Neiderman, the Class of nineteen hundred and eighty-one has chosen you to be our man of the year. Throughout our years in high school, we’ve come to admire your many fine qualities. You’ve made learning an enjoyable experience with a mixture of knowledge, humor, sincerity, and devotion. We respect you for all the time that you devote to your students, be it in the classroom or on the stage. We applaud the fact that you still find time to master a fine talent in writing. Mr. Neiderman, you’ve added something special to our high school careers, and in appreciation we’ve chosen you to be our man of the year. 9

Remember when... Billy T. wanted to take over the world with rabbits. Mrs. Cohen asked Mona K. to name a National Park and she said Jellystone. Rusty S. used to drop his pencils so he could look under Mrs. Les- ter's dresses. Mindy’s whole family were lunchroom aides. Larry G. got a certificate from Mrs. Elliott for being good for a whole day. Hildy brought a playboy magazine to school and Mr. Conway kept it. We had to pay Mrs. Mintz a quarter everytime we cursed. Hildy’s still in debt. Lisa B. passed a science experiment in a bottle around the room and Mike N. poured it down Jill K.’s back. Miss Walker put Ellen W.’s sneakers out the window because they smelled. We did the Sesame Street play. Elizabeth Tice's baseballs. Miss Friedman cried from our Spanish class everyday. Mrs. Mintz washed Billy T.’s mouth out with green soap. Jimmy M. and Mark F. gave Eddie S. a quarter to be their friend. Marci K. got Eddie S. suspended because she told the principal he stabbed her in the back with scissors. Remember...
