Basketball Remembrances It was a great night Monday after school , when in the seventh grade, basketball started, but during the seventh and eighth grades we played the thrilling and exciting game of line basketball. lThen when we became Freshmen we were allowed to play half court basketball We played in the finals during our Freshmen year and lost by a few points to the Seniors. The first Freshmen team to play in the finals for quite a few years. Coming over to the Senior High School was a thrill and the Freshmen team carried over its same players, consisting of June Brown, Nina Stepoway, Helen Kyryluk as forewards and Xary Headsten, Helen Jean Pauls on, and Jean Radosevioh as guards. We once again played the finals, but without luck we failed to gain the title. In the Junior year, Ardath KPunkD Merrill took over Helen Kyryluk's place on the team and we took the championship from the Dribbling Drips. At last our Senior year had come, but there was doubt in the minds of the NJeepsW KSeniors to you! whether we could carry off the title, because of the fast rising and stiff competit ion offered by the Juniors and Sophomores. But in the finals the nJeepsH captured the title for the second straight year. Basketball season is over but there is s till one itch to get in and play. The HJeepsW want to thank Sheila Oliver and Marjorie Sullivan for their undivided help when there was a need for extra players, such as when June Brown injured her leg in the finals and Sheila Oliver had to step in and take her place. The Girls' Senior Team has shown a great record, although not all victorious, we feel greatly sorrowed that basketball has come to an end for us. And so we leave the Senior High greatly pleased with the girls' team.
