OPERATTAS In sixth grade, 1958, this year's seniors participated in a play for the first time. It was WThe King Sneezesn with Peter Krogseng and Sheila Oliver playing the part of the King and Queen. Then in the eighth grade, 1941, an elementary and jun- ior high operetta, nit Happened in Hollandn. This operetta presented a delightful story of old Holland. The leading characters were: Juliana ------- Gypsy Queen ----- Bourghomaster - - - - Katrina - - ----- Hulda -------- JanS----- Gypsy Josh - - Katz - - - - - Gertrude, the cat -D- Choruses of milkmaids, Dutch men and women Jeanne Reuter Helen Markowski Arthur Holmstrom Jean Radosevich Donna Thompson Edward Johnson Vincent Puliccickio Edward Carlson Robert Evans bears, and even kittens lent much color. o gypsiesf Another operetta, WThe Prince of Peddlersn, was given in the ninth grade, 1942. The scene of the play was in a remote kingdom where customs never change.
