Vocational teachers cover many interesting fields The Vocational teachers cover many fields that help students. Norm Fritz, Richard Mezger. and Dale Yoesel teach agricultural and industrial related courses. Mr. Fritz teaches small motors, welding, project construction, large motors, vocational agriculture leadership, and Vocational Agriculture I and II. Mr. Mezger teaches Industrial Arts I and II, architectural drawing, carpentry, and drafting. Mr. Yoesel teaches electricity, small motors, Vocational Agriculture II, livestock management, and veterinary science. Mr. Fritz and Mr. Yoesel are sponsors of FFA. Debra Gerweck, Marshall Nelson, and Richard Spaulding teach business classes. Mrs. Gerweck teaches Accounting I and II, Marketing I and II, business math, and sponsors DECA. Mr. Nelson teaches general business, business law, office machines, and office practice, and is the assistant wrestling coach. Mr. Spalding teaches Typing I and II and shorthand, and is the head Sophomore Class sponsor. Martha Nims teaches food nutrition, human development, adult living, consumer education, clothing, and Flome Ec. I. She is also a Sophomore Class sponsor. During an algebra clast. Mr. Fegan explains a problem for the next day's assignment. Math teachers help students excell The Math Department consists of two people. Mark Fegan and Norma Thompson. This is Mr. Fegan's first year at FCFIS. Fie taught in Lynch. Nebraska, before he came here. He teaches career math, Algebra I and II, and computers. Mr. Fegan is a Senior Class sponsor and is the assistant boys' basketball coach. The computer class is new this year. It was developed to help students with math concepts and to be prepared for college computer class. Mrs. Thompson teaches applied math, trigonometry, pre calculus, and geometry. She is also a Junior Class sponsor. There is a third teacher that teaches a math class. Debra Gerweck is in the Vocational Department yet she teaches business math. Science explode teachers help school with new experiences Mark Fegan Norma Thompson Terry Flynn John Masonbrink There are three science teachers, but only two are included in this Science section, as Mr. Holman was listed earlier in the Special Staff members section. Mr. Holman is the Biology II teacher. Terry Flynn is the teacher of Biology I and career science. Mr. Flynn is also a Freshman Class sponsor and the Head Boys' Basketball coach. John Masonbrink is the teacher of chemistry. ISCS Freshman lab science, and physics. Mr. Masonbrink is the chairperson of the Senior Class. Mr. Holman, Mr. Flynn, and Mr. Masonbrink teach classes that relate to all the students. Faculty 9 Mr. Ma»onbrink en|oy leaching Fre»hman »tudent» in ISCS lab science. Social Studies teachers explain different forms of government Larry Godwin Paul Weinert Ron White Mr. Weinert gives the camera a big smilet it must have been a great day! There are three teachers in the Social Studies Department. They are Larry Godwin. Paul Weinert, and Ron White. Mr. Godwin teaches American history, geographical survey, psychology, and world history. He is a Sophomore Class sponsor and the golf coach. Mr. Weinert is the teacher of American history and sociology. Mr. White teaches American government, drivers education, geographical survey, and modern problems. Mr. White is also the Boys' Track coach. Modern problems is a new class this year at FCHS. It was developed to give students a larger variety of understanding about the problems of our modernized world. Fine Arts instructors teach music, band, art Mildred Appleoff Patricia Cook John Svoboda Mr. Svoboda direct the band during a pep a» embly. Keep up the good workl The Fine Arts Department consists of teachers of music and art. Mildred Appleoff and John Svoboda teach the music classes. Mrs. Appleoff teaches mixed chorus, girls’ chorus, music theory, music appreciation and individual lessons. She is also in charge of the vocal music productions and the swing choir. Mr. Svoboda is the band teacher. He also instructs ensembles and stage band. Patricia Cook is the art teacher. She teaches Art I, II. Ill, and IV. Faculty II
