Amy Schock. who was the secretary of the Junior Class, takes the microphone during the banquet ceremonies. Terry, we were supposed to enjoy the banquet. Why did you have to bring your sociology book along with you? questions Heidi. Sherman pauses long enough for the camera to get this shot, but Mike and Tim can't seem to tear themselves away from their meals. The 1983 Jr.-Sr. Prom was a great success despite a few things that threatened to ruin the prom. Spirits were high even though the weather didn’t cooperate. Snow and rain couldn’t stop everyone from looking good. The Banquet was a classy affair, with everyone on their best behavior. Everyone was served a chicken dinner with a delicious dessert to top things off. The decorations were a sight to see, both at the Banquet and the Prom. Congratulations go to the Junior Class for all their hard work. Matt. Mark. Delyn. and Nancy enjoy their meal at the head table. 64 Jr.-Sr. Banquet The guests at the prom enjoyed a fun-filled evening dancing under the beautiful decorations done in pink and burgundy provided by the Junior Class. Wendy takes time out from all the excitement of the prom for us to get this lovely shot of her. Above — Matt just seems to be entranced by all the beautiful decorations at the prom. Below — Okay everybody, let's show them some of that school spiritl” says Allyn to his buddies. This group of Junior boys take a well-deserved break from decorating. Jr.-Sr. Prom 65 Prom memories shine on forever If you get up on my shoulder you could reach that star hanging from the ceiling,” says Tim to Annette. 66 Jr.-Sr. Prom Lori, I really don’t think that it’s my fault that it had to snow on the night of the spring prom,” says Bill. The prom starts in how many minutes?” asks Kerry while decorating. There is a lot more that goes into decorating for the prom than most people think. One of the trickier jobs is hanging the mirrored ball. Everyone had a great time dancing to the music provided by the band Brutus from Lincoln Pam takes time out to adjust her dress while Scott enjoys the break. Another class sponsor. Mrs. Thompson, is shown here busily helping and giving advice in preparation for the prom. The Junior Class could never do everything necessary to present a prom without all the help of their class sponsors, like Mr. Cass. 'Uh. oh. I think Mr. Blackman just saw me throw this cup of water at you, says Kristi. Denise shows us it is possible to dance without tripping on her dress and with no shoes on. Tim Burton is considered their favorite comedian, but he didn't get enough votes to get in the top five! When asking about their favorite candy bar. quite a large number of people admitted that they don't like candy bars. This seems to be the year of ETI It was voted in as being the favorite movie of 1983 and ET was also one of Falls City High School’s favorite actors. The birthday section of this survey shows in what months most people have their birthdays. These were favorites of students at FCHS during the 1982-83 school year.
