Main Street sets the stage for our Homecoming Parade Above — Attendants Bill and Julie enjoy the parade. Left — Kik0 or Barb strive to make mashed potaters out of the Raiders on the Chon float. 16 After school on Friday, a Homecoming Parade was held downtown. The Band led the way as many floats were entered by organizations and classes. First place float was FFA's, second was awarded to Chorus, and third place went to the Freshman class. Spirit was overflowing as everyone gathered on the Courthouse lawn afterwards for a pep rally. Cathy clowns around in the Drama Club's entry In the parade, pulling Lisa and Janine along with her. Above — Bale the Raiders was the theme of the FFA's winning float — The cheerleaders tried to generate spirit as their Spirit Buggy moved the street.

Royalty rule during Tiger Homecoming Homecoming candidates for 1981-82 were, left to right, Julie Ankrom. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Ankrom; Bill Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mount, Queen Mary Beth Weinert; King Dan Convey; Cheryl Goff, Mary Beth Winert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Weinert, was crowned the 1981-82 Homecoming Queen. She has been an active member of Chorus for four years, taking part in Applederas Show Choir, Madrigals, Revues, and in many small groups as well as serving as the Chorus treasurer this year In addition, she has taken part in Drama Club (Pres.), Student Council (Pres ), Drill Team, (Co-Captain). Pep Club (Treasurer), numerous sports, and roles in all major Drama or Musical productions. Mary Beth also serves her community, taking an active role in both her church youth group and the Falls City Youth Council. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Goff; and Mark Bauman, son of Mr and Mrs. Dennis Bauman. Dan Convey, son of Judy Convey and Mike Convey, was chosen the 1981-82 Homecoming King. He has been an active participant in athletics, taking part in Football, Basketball, and Track all four years. He has lettered in all three sports as well as being named to All-State Honorable Mention for football two years in a row. Dan has also found time to serve in F-Club, National Honor Society, Student Council, and as a class officer, serving this year as president. Out of school, Dan takes parts in several community sports as well as being quite active as a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church youth group. 18
