Activities 1971 Homecoming Royalty _ Queen Cathy McKim King Chuck Sailors Attendants The attendants for this year’s royalty were: Chuck Whitney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Riel Whitney; Nancy Vonder-schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jean Vonderschmidt; Marty Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wilson; and Mike Gillogly, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Gillogly. Cathy McKim, daughter of Mrs. Ray McKim, Jr., was chosen to reign as this year’s Homecoming Queen by her fellow classmates. In her four years of high school, she has been active in GAA and held office in the organization for two years. She has been in Pep Club four years and has been a junior varsity and a varsity cheerleader. During this time, Cathy has been on the honor roll and was selected for membership in the National Honor Society. Chuck Sailors, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Sailors, was chosen to represent F.C.H.S. as the first Homecoming King during the half time activities of the Falls City-Plattsmouth game. He has participated in the Boy’s Glee and is an active member of the “F” Club. During his four years, Chuck has taken part in the golf, track, cross-country, football, and basketball teams, doing well in all. BZZZZZZZZZ. This year’s Homecoming Activities were proclaimed a success by both students and Homecoming WRITE ON!! on lookers alike. Where’s the balin’ wire and the chewing gum? Rootin’ at a Rally. This is one time of the year when spirit runs high and students work together toward the same goals: To get a float together well enough that it will last ’til the end of the parade and to make the paint thick enough to keep the shape of the clever pictures drawn on the downtown windows. National Honor Society This year the Student Council of Falls City High voted to organize a charter of the National Honor Society. A faculty panel selected thirty students to become charter members of the organization.
