The department offered elective courses for juniors and seniors in psychology, sociology, and economics, World Civilization, World Geography. A recent addition to the program was English as a second language, in which approximately 900 students were enrolled. The priority of the curriculum was to give the students the increasing ability to understand the language, to speak it, to read it with care and enjoyment and to write correctly and creatively. MRS.
