The National Junior Honor Society, patterned after the National Honor Society, is composed of ninth and tenth grade students with a B average and no grade below a C . To promote interest in scholarship, the National Junior Honor Society tutored students who requested help, and helped to organize an honor society at J.G. Whittier Intermediate School. This year was an interesting one for the members of the Mathematics Honor Society of Falls Church. Math meets, field trips, guest speakers, and inductions were ac¬ tivities participated in by the Society ' s members. National Thespian Honor Society To be or not to be. This phrase is not one frequently used by the Na¬ tional Thespian Honor Society, but it is representative of the many lines that the members of this Society learned for the fine dramatic produc¬ tions that they have contributed. An organization of students who have made meritous achievement in the field of dramatic art, Thespians consist of both backstage and onstage personnel. To become a member, a student must work on at least three plays. This year the Thespians inducted six new members, took a trip to the state convention in Roanoke, and did major jobs in four dramatic produc¬ tions, including a one-act put on sole¬ ly by the Thespians.
