Principal , Thomas D. Todd Mr. Thomas D. Todd, principal of Falls Church High School, received his B.A. from the University of Richmond and his M.A. from the University of Michigan. In World War II he was in the Navy and is now retired from the Reserves with the rank of Commander. From 1937 to 1941, Mr. Todd taught at Warrenton High School. While there he coached football, basketball, baseball, and track. He taught one year at Fairfax High School before coming to Falls Church in 1947. Here he coached football, basketball, track, and baseball, and was Director of Health and Physical Education for twelve years. Mr. Todd left in 1959 to become Assistant Principal for Administration at J. E. B. Stuart High School, where he remained until March of last year, when he was named principal of Falls Church High School. Mr. Todd feels that “young people are the same all over, but Falls Church has an exceptionally fine student body.” His particular interest is athletics and his plans for the future include “making Falls Church the best in the 7J Page 14
