Senior Class Officers Left to right: Tom Oakley, President; Sue Pelton, Treasurer; Tiny Cline, Sergeant-at-Aims; Pete Kremer, Vice- President ; Joan Nalls, Secretary; Mr. Frank Mishou, Mrs. Nelle Miles, Sponsors. Senior Class History When we seniors entered the eighth grade here at Falls Church, our school was not the plant it is today. We saw the addition of our library and cafeteria during our eighth and ninth grades, and we elected class officers and sponsored dances for the first time. When we were freshmen we held the Dixie Drag, which boasted an out¬ standing band. In our Sophomore year the “Paw Print” had its start and since then has won an achievement rating as a good creative magazine. Our junior year was really a big one for us. We gave the Night Club Dance and the Junior-Senior Prom. After Class Night we became the Mighty Seniors and our busiest year began. By this time our building had expanded again and we had a good gymnasium and auditorium. For four years the school had been holding magazine drives in order to erect some lights on our field. Before we graduated we were to see many exciting night-time football games. We have also seen the extinction of the merit hall and the beginning of an Honor System, which we hope will never have to be replaced. We came into a small school: we leave one of the county’s largest and most complete. But growth has not stopped. New land has been acquired for playing areas of the future. This is the tradition we leave — growth, ex¬ pansion, and development of character. Page 14
