Nov. 13 -- The Jerseys went to Weslaco and defeated the Panthers Z7-7 by scoring three touchdowns in the final period. Jesus made two long runs for touchdowns. Back to the showers ! Nov. 20 -- Again the Jerseys won 16-AAA by defeating the San Benito Greyhounds 19-18 on Enrique Mireles' conversion as San Benito was kept by the strong Jersey defense from making any extra points. Nov. 27 -- The Fightin' Jerseys got revenge for last yeaz-'s defeat to Kingsville by upset- ting the B rahama s in Jersey Stadium as we came from behind to win Z0-19 on Gilbert's successful two point conversion. Dec. 4 -- The Fightin' Je rseys stunned the San Marcos Rattlers 8-6 in foggy Jersey Stadium. Gilbert scored the winning touch- down and extra points in the closing minutes of the game. I BSL Dec. ll -- The end finally came as the Cleburne Yellow Jackets launched a strong aerial attack to defeat the Jerseys 53-8. Gilbert made the Jerseys' only touchdown on a long run.
