1 .. JUL. Ui Duchess At Large Sophomore Duchess Junior Duchess Mackie Mclntyre Adriana Figueroa 5Y1V1a Cafltll Freshman Duchess Senior Duchess Junior Duchess Joan Mccall Ann Stanfield Norma Garcia jg Sophomore Duchess Diana Rivera Freshman Duchess Rosalva Guerra This year Homecoming was the biggest and best ever. The honorees were from the classes of 1929 to 1933. Girls from all the classes campaigned for a week, and then two duchesses were elected by secret ballot from each class and one by the entire student body. On November 6 the festivities began with a parade through downtown. Then on to Jersey Stadium we went to watch our boys beat Pharr. The theme of the Coronation and Ball was Neptune's Court, and colors of blue, white, silver and gold blended together to form a spectacular setting. The girls had a whirl of activities and seemed almost like debutantes. They all wore floor length formals with red wrist corsages and were royally presented along with their escorts to a suspenseful crowd. After all were on stage the announcement was made, and we all got to see the tears of joy stream down Queen Beverly's face. After a winning game, a fabulous corona- tion, and a week of hectic fun we wrapped it up by dancing till one.
