Abel Soto and Arnold Barrera senior band members, are shown at the right with the many honors they have won at District and Regional meets. For the past four years these two boys have shown their ability and talents in music. Both the school and the band are very proud of them. I Iris Villa, a senior, was elected the first Band Sweetheart in the history of Falfurrias High School. She was presented with a bouquet of red roses given to her by Mrs. Dawson, President of the Band Boosters, at the Mission game on November 23. Chosen as her escort was Wyatt Mooring, a senior bandmember. inf qv-'sv Our Fal High Stage Band is a well-known organization com- prised of students who volunteer their free time to further their musical talents and enjoy good companionship. The band did a bang up job at our Christmas Assembly and featured a couple of vocalists. They have a trio that performs for various civic organizations. The band pro- vides programs for our own teacher's organization and plays out of town engagements.
