The students spent many hours preparing their exhibits for the fair. Bill Chitwood and Beverly Fitzhenry were unanimously chosen to receive blue ribbons, the highest award of the fair. Charles Dryden, Larry Mahaffey, and Bob Thaxton also received blue ribbons. Receiving red ribbons were James Dowe, Carmen Martinez, Ovidio Martinez, David Yzaguirre, Debra Thompson, and Ann Reed. All of this was made possible by the sponsorship of Mr. Contreras who spent much of his time giving the students advice and helping them when they needed help. The Science Club is very grateful to Mr. Contreras for everything he has done.
