We work and we play! ! The F.H.A. is comprised of girls interested in homemaking. It is an integral part of the home- making program and provides opportunities for stu- dents to further their experiences. The main pro- jects are a booth at the Halloween Carnival and the exhibition of their cooking and sewing projects at the Youth Booster Show. They also take part in the Parent-Son-Daughter Banquet with the F. F.A. which is held in the spring. The chapter attends the area, district, and state meeting of the F.H.A. This year the Chapter attended the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo with the F.F.A. The F.F.A. is comprised of Voc. Ag. stu- dents. All members study and practice parliamen- tary procedure. This year the parliamentary team placed fourth in the district of 17 schools. They par- ticipate in community activitie s as well as school activities. The Chapter has erected four Welcome to Falfurrias monuments and is responsible for our school mascot, Jersey Junior. They sponsor a Hay Ride at the Halloween Carnival, and at the Youth Booster Show they exhibit their livestock projects. The boys raise funds for an overnight trip to the San An- tonio Livestock Show, and at the end of school they take off for an overnight camp- ing trip in Garner State Park. Initiation! ! !
