FOREWORD 8:50 - the first passing bell welcoming another new day. As we, students of Falconer, walk through the halls to the rhythmic banging of locker doors and the early morning chatter of our classmates, we realize that the opportunity for education is ours once again. As the day progresses, that familiar inquiry, Got your homework done? can be heard as students journey from one morning class to another. As we pass through our classes, we absorb volumes of in- formation and the spark for learning is kindled. And, yet, as we pass through our classes, we also feel the need for a breather and a bite to eat. The cheery cafeteria with the clatter of dishes and conversations of friends is a wel- come relief after that English lecture and the history exam that everyone failed. The bell rings and the afternoon sessions are under way. The remaining classes pass swiftly and students rush to the scheduled meetings, attempting to arrive for a few moments at all of them, each equally important. But all too soon the day comes to a close. And when this day has ended we have progressed closer to the goal which we have set for ourselves. Each day holds our dream of the future. Each day becomes a new horizon, a new vista, and a new chal- lenge. Each day we go forward, until we reach that day, our day of graduation. Yes, the halls are deserted! No more plans echoing in senior alley. The smiling graduates will return no more! But this day is not the final one. One the contrary, it is the day which unlocks the years, the successful years from which we can look back. And what will we see? The cherished experiences which symbolize our typical school daze!
