“ 7' In l642 the first schools in the country were established by law because it was apparent that education constituted a real need. Many of these schools were private homes. From this small beginning the schools of the United States have grown until, today, education is looked upon as a right of all United States' citizens. This has been accomplished by statesmen, clergy, and teachers, but most of all by parents. We, the students of Falconer Central High School, have attended the best- equipped school that has been within the financial means of the community to provide. We have learned from the best teachers available. Their devotion to us has not stopped with books and the lessons therein. They have shown a real interest in us as people as we passed through their classes. They have and deserve our thanks and respect. All this has been possible because of our parents. All through our school years our parents have stood by us, showing interest in all our achievements, taking part in our activities when they were needed, taking part in community and school organizations for the benefit of the school and us. Our parents have wiped our tears when failure overwhelmed us. They have rejoiced with us when we have shown them our accomplishments. They have urged usf on when things were difficult, and they have applauded the loudest when we have reached our goals. They have shown patience when patience was needed. They have been understanding in all our joys and trials. They have provided for recreation through buildings, leadership, and chaperoning. They have provided the means for a good education through schools, equipment, and teachers. They have provided the means for healthy bodies through good housing, good clothing, and good food. All these things they have done for us during all our years. For these and all the other things which our parents have done and are doing for us, we Want to dedicate this, our yearbook of 1957, to them, our V.I.P.'s, our parents.
