SENIOR HISTORY Act I of The Class of ' 47 ' ' opened when the cast settled in R. 23 and chose their leading characters of their freshman year as follows: Don Andrews, President; Lois Petersen, Vice President; Josephine Alessi, Secretary and Sally Brown, Treasurer. This act contained the usual skating party at Celoron Park where the players had an enjoyable time. The second year, Act II opened with Lois Petersen, President; Hollis Peter¬ sen, Vice President; Josephine Alessi, Secretary and Alberta Van Tilburg, Treasurer; as the leading personnel. This act was more lively than the first as a dance was held and refreshments were sold at basketball games. During Act III or the junior year the main roles were played by Rex Ever¬ ett as President; Ruth Randall, Vice President; Beverly Phetteplace, Secretary; and Robert Ortendahl, Treasurer. The important scene of this act was the annual Junior-Senior Prom in June which proved very successful with Pat Norman ' s Band furnishing the music and an interesting floor show being pre¬ sented during the evening. The money to sponsor this scene was earned in the preceding scenes which included the sale of refreshments at all home football games. Act IV opened to find the players again in R. 23 with Don Andrews re¬ peating his performance as President with the supporting cast of Bob Howard, Vice President; Delores Verquer, Secretary; and Dudley Oaks, Treasurer. Scene I, the senior play, Almost Eighteen ' ' proved very successful as did the following scenes of the candy stand sales. The grand finale started with Class Night on May 23, and the final curtain fell on The Class of ' 47 ' ' at Commencement Night, June 23. 12
