BOARD OF EDUCATION ft MR. HAROLD HEWES President 14 East James Street, Falconer, N. Y. Mr. Hewes was elected to the board in 1941, re-elected in 1944 with his present term expiring in 1947. He was educated at the Lakewood and Chautauqua Public Schools and is the As¬ sistant Superintendent of the Chautauqua County- Highway Dept. MR. LAWRENCE DYE Vice-President 244 East Elmwood Avenue, Falconer, N. Y. Mr. Dye was elected to the board in 1942, re¬ elected in 1946 with his present term expiring in 1949. He received his education in the Falconer Public School and is the, Supervisor of the Michi¬ gan Limestone and Chemical Company. MR. JOSEPH CLAYTON 32 West James Street, Falconer, N. Y. Mr. Clayton was elected to the board in 1946 with his term expiring in 1949. He was gradu¬ ated from Jamestown High School, Fredonia State Teachers College and received a B.S. in Educa¬ tion from Buffalo State Teachers College. He has done graduate work at the University of Buffalo and St. Bonaventure College. He is now employed as Personnel Director at the National Worsted Mills. MR. JOHN HENDERSON 20 West James Street, Falconer, N. Y. Mr. Henderson was elected to the board in 1943, re-elected in 1946 with his present term expiring in 1949. He obtained his education in the Fredonia Public School and is now the Pur¬ chasing Agent for the Crescent Tool Company. MR. STEVE CRESPY 107 East Main Street, Falconer, N. Y. Mr. Crespy was elected to the board in 1945 with his present term expiring in 1948. His edu¬ cation was obtained at Union High School, New¬ castle, Penna., and is at present employed at the Monarch Fuse Corp. MR. LESLIE JOHNSON 8 West Mosher Street, Falconer, N. Y. Mr. Johnson was elected to the board in 1945 with his term expiring in 1948. He attended Wil¬ cox High School in Pennsylvania and is the proprietor of a grocery store in Falconer. MRS. ISABELLE LINDSTROM 100 Hickory Street, Falconer, N. Y. Mrs. Lindstrom was elected to the board in 1944 with her term expiring in 1947. She received her education in the Falconer Public School and the Millard Fillmore School of Nursing. 8

Nichols, Mr. Bennett. Just as our country, state, and town must have a government, so must our school. Falconer High ' s governing body is the Student Council. The purposes of this organiza¬ tion are: to unify all student organizations under one general control; to aid in the internal administration of the school; to give a feeling of law and order among the students; to develop a growing appreciation of democracy in the students; and lastly to promote and maintain the best interests in the school. The Student Council takes care of all club finances, charters, committees and makes final decisions in matters concerning the extra-curricular activities carried on through¬ out the year in school. Any laws or rules necessary for the betterment of our school are made and enforced by the council. You can be sure the Student Council is doing its part to maintain the high standards of F.H.S. 10
