Zimmer HE main purpose of the Hi-Y is to create, maintain, and extend throughout the school and community, high standards of Christian character. These student police by precept and example set the pace for order, cleanliness, and honesty. Along with the student police there is a chief, three judges, and two fac- ulty advisers. Mr. Frank EMBERSHIP in the Theta Xi Chapter of the National Honor Society is one way that the students of Falconer High School are recognized and rewarded. Falconer's chapter was chartered in 1939 with new members, chosen by the faculty, inducted each spring. The members are admitted on the basis of character, service, leadership, and scholarship, and not more than fifteen per cent of the senior class are eligible. ln May, l945, at a regular assembly, ten members of the present senior class were inducted into the Honor Society. The purposes and standards of the organization were read by the old members. Before each candidate took his oath, an old member read his qualifications. Clifton Lawson, who moved back to Falconer in September, was inducted as an honorary member. 30
