SHIRLEY DENNISON Although she is very modest and re- served, Shirl is a girl with initiative and tact. As her many friends know, she is always willing to lend a helping hand. Upon graduation, she hopes to enter nurse's training. We are with you, Shirley, and know that whatever you undertake will be successful. RICHARD ECKLUND The dark-haired, snappy-looking young gent who is frequently seen escorting young ladies through the halls is Dick Ecklund. He is a member of the Choir and Activities Club, and was in charge of the programs for the Senior Play. In his after school hours, Dick holds down a job at the Falconer News Room, He has won many friends in Falconer High and we all wish him the best of luck in his future career. BETTY LOU FRANK A husky, jolly brunette, Betty has won the hearts of all her classmates, and lower classmen as well. Besides being a very studious young lady, she finds time to be plans an active member of the Mi-Y. She after graduation, on training to be a nurse and we are sure Betty's pa- tients will appreciate her presence many times in the future. DOROTHY GUNNELL A petite, blonde, reserved individual is Dorothy Gunnell. She is a member of the Mi-Y, Dramatics Club, and as a con- scientious member of the senior class, we have valued her friendship greatly. Al- though she has not voiced her plans for the future, the best of wishes go with her from F. H. S. FLORENCE HANCOCK Florence is a tall, studious girl, and although rather quiet, she is an active member of the senior class. She belongs to the Mi-Y and Dramatics Club and spends her spare time outside of school as an employee of the Ben Franklin store. We are her friends and will watch with mterest and affection her course through 1 S. MYRTLE HANSON Among the many tall senior girls is Myrtle Hanson. She is a hard-working, ambitious girl who has a well-earned future ahead of her. We wish you the best of luck in your future, Myrtle. BETTY IOYCE JAMES ls there anyone in Falconer High who does not know Betty lon? She strolls through the halls spreading joy and good cheer, Her many activities include cheer- leading, sports, skating and dancing. As she is very congenial and agreeable, she is certain to be successful in whatever she undertakes in the future, VESTA ELLEMAN This short, good-hearted senior girl, who is just crazy about roller-skating, came from Bradford High just this year. She enjoys all sports, both as a specta- tor and a participant. We wish we were acquainted with you, Vesta, as we ad- mire your many amiable characteristics. MARGARET FITZPATRICK As one recognizes by Margaret's last name, she is of Irish origin. However, there is something more than Blarney in her talk. She is always smiling, and thus is an indispensable member of our 1944 class, Good luck to you always, Margaret. BARBARA FORBES In this retiring and reticent senior, we find a loyal friend and an ambitious worker. Enjoying the good things of life, she is always happy and never discon- tented. After being graduated, Barb intends, as do many other senior girls, to go into nurse's training. We wish you luck, Barbara. VIOLA HALE jolly, athletic and likable-that's Viola. Besides her activities at Falconer High, she is at present an employee of the American Manufacturing Company. Aside from being a patriotic individual, Viola has a very special reason of her own for wanting this War to end soon. Conse- quently, she intends to do her bit by working in an aviation plant upon gradu- ating. HELEN HANSON ln Helen, one finds a good sport and a true friend. She is one of those country lasses, which fact, perhaps, explains her robust nature. She both participates in and referees for intramural games at noon hour, Upon graduation, she intends to P. G., and then, perhaps, she will join the Cadet Nurse's Corps. ROBERT HOUSTON Bob is an active and well-liked citi- zen of Falconer High School. It is ob- vious that his favorite sport is football as he has participated in this sport for three of his four years in high school. Besides playing football and carrying on with his studies, Bob somehow finds time to be president of the Sportsmanship Brotherhood, and a good one at that. Al- though he has not voiced his plans for the future, Uncle Sam without a doubt will have something for him. KENDALL IOHNSON Remember Elmer in the senior play? That was our Kendall who has a great deal of dramatic talent. Sam also has much scholastic and physical ability. As president of the Student Council, he has proved to be very efficient. Upon being graduated, Sam plans to enter college tIsn't that right, Beth?l.

DONALD HINE In Don, we find the genial president of the Senior Class. He enjoys all the good things of life and makes good use of the fact that there are almost three times as many girls as boys in the Senior Class. Don intends to follow in his brother's footsteps by joining the Marine Corps. Good luck to you always, Don. EVELYNN STONE The only feminine candidate for Stu- dent Council President, Eve has made a name for herself in F. H. S. She is secretary of the Senior Class, a member of the Dramatics Club, Student Council, School Police, band and orchestra, She works at the Three Gables in Kennedy in her spare time. lf her ambition continues, she is sure to be a success. HARVEY C . FENNER Advisor Mr Fenner, F.H.S.'s Vice Principal, teaches advanced sciences and math. Without his help we would be barely able to struggle along although we had to do without it for a few weeks. Being the Corridors adviser, we owe much to Mr. Fenner. ELSIE POTTER Advisor As history teacher, Miss Potter has taught the pupils to be speCific . Her help has been most appreciated because she has always been willing to dig in and she is always on the job. Her cheerful- ness is welcomed by everyone. IANETTE BAKER Ianette is a dark-haired attractive young lady with a flare for the unusual. A mem- ber ot the Mi-Y and Dramatics Club, her friendly personality has won her many admirers. When she leaves school there will be a large gap in the ranks of the F, H. S students. ELEANOR CARLSON Elly is a young lady who has found plenty to do during her four years in F. H. S. Besides being a member of the C. A. P., she also does her bit in the Mi-Y and Dramatics Club. She is an ardent basketball fan and likes refined young men with no bad habits. Upon graduating, Eleanor hopes to enter Home Economics College and we all hope that her wishes will come true. DOROTHY CLARK Dark hair, dark eyes, a flashing smile -one could go on and on with the many advantageous traits of our Dorothy who hails from Ellington, She is a very mod- est, reserved girl who is sure to be suc- cessful in whatever she undertakes in her later life. DONALD YOUNG The fellow with the black hair, brown eyes, a western drawl and a swell per- sonality is Don Young. Although he is the vice-president of the senior class, sports editor of the Falcon and a mem' ber of the C.A.P., Tex occasionally finds time to write mystery stories. We all like Don and hope that he will long remember his friends of F. H. S. MURIEL WAITE Muriel is a capable, friendly, fun-loving girl who lives in Kennedy. Studious is she, despite the fact that much of her time must be occupied as treasurer of the Senior Class, member of the Activities Club, Dramatics Club, School Police and Honor Society. Muir is fond of music, but hasn't decided definitely what career she will follow. Nevertheless, we are sure success will shine upon her in what- ever she chooses to do. ADA!-I REDFIELD Advisor Mrs. Redfield, our capable English teacher who looks so much like Miss Pot- ter, is a decided asset to F. H. S. Be- sides teaching Iunior and Senior English, she is an adviser for the Falcon Staff and Corridor Staff and is also our Guidance Director. MARYLOU ARMSTRONG An ever-smiling and ever-cheerful Mary- lou adds much to the liveliness and gaiety of the Senior Class. Being of a vigorous nature, she indulges in many sports. She may be recognized by her height, and long, sleek, blond hair. We hope she retains her wholesome outlook on life always IUNE BUTERBAUGH Enthusiastic! Ambitious! Sincerel These are but a few of the many amiable char- acteristics of our Iune Buterbaugh, upon whom one can always depend. Her ready smile gains for her many friends whom she regards as treasures. Keep that op- timistic outlook on life, lune, as it is a great asset to you. LAURA CARLSON Remember the twins in the Senior Play? lf you do, you remember that Laura and her inseparable pal, Betty Io, played the leading feminine roles. Your smiling blue eyes have brought you many friends in F. H. S., Laura, and we all wish you the best of luck in your future years. IRENE CULVER This blonde, vivacious person is a well liked member of the senior class. In addi- tion to her regular school work, Irene is an active member of the Dramatics Club and the Activities Club. Upon graduat- ing, she plans to attend the Stevens Iunior College in Missouri. She will be a long way from home but the best wishes of her friends in F, H. S. will be with her wherever she goes.

WILLIAM IOHNSON Blond-haired Bill Iohnson has the distinction of being the tallest person in school and also one of the two students who passed the radar test. He is a mem- ber of the Hi-Y, Varsity Basketball squad, and served as stage manager for the senior play, A Message From Khufuf' We'll all miss his ever-present smile and his friendly personality. Bill plans to join the Navy soon after graduating and we wish him best of luck in this new venture. MARY LARSON This studious and energetic senior who seems to be of a very serious nature has a surprising sense of humor. Mary plans to attend college after being graduated in order to become either an English or history teacher. You have a great deal of ability, Mary, and we hope that you will enjoy everlasting happiness SHIRLEY LINDSKOG This tall, blonde, reserved girl frequent- ly seen with lune Buterbaugh is Shirley Lindskog. She is a pleasant addition to the senior class and besides her other school activities, an important member of the Mi-Y, She intends to start working as soon as school is out with art school in New York City her future goal, Best of luck to you, Shirley. IUNE MARTIN An ever-busy person is our blonde, hazel-eyed lune Martin. She is going to P G. after being graduated. Following that, she has nothing definitely planned. However, with that ever-ready smile, and good-natured attitude, yours is certain to be a happy future. ELEANOR MATTISON Being a person who is always busy, Eleanor never finds any of those dull moments in her life, She has a ready smile for everyone. At the present time, she is a long-distance telephone operator. Upon graduation, she intends to continue this work. lust as her voice travels for long distances on the telephone, we know that she will be successful and go a long way in whatever field she enters. RICHARD MEE A well-built athlete, Dick has worked hard on the various teams during his high school career. He wanders through the halls with his good-hearted laughter bringing joy to his many friends. Dick plans to join the Marines. The class of '44 wishes you luck. CHARLES NELSON This young fellow with an unruly mop of sandy-colored, curly hair is known to his many friends as Chuck . Besides his regular school activities, he has the job of managing the advertising end of the Falcon's business. ln his spare time he helps his father with his milk business. Upon leaving F. H. S,, Charles hopes to attend an aircraft machinist school in California. MARILYN LARSON Marilyn is a quiet, dark-haired girl from Ellington and a pleasant addition to the senior class. Besides her school ac- tivities, she is a recreational leader and news reporter in the 4-H Club, After grad- uation, Marilyn hopes to become a Cadet Nurse and we are sure that her thorough but unobtrusive way of getting things done will make her one of the best. DORIS LEYMAN Although Doris is the smallest senior in the class of 44, that does not mean that she doesn't get around. She enjoys dancing, and is very active as a cheer- leader. After graduation, Doris intends to attend beauty school and become a beautician. She will accomplish much in this field as she is a very agreeable and congenial person, HARLAN D LUCE Harland is a robust, good-natured sen- ior who is often seen prowling around the school rendering his invaluable services as a member of the school police force. When not attending school, Har works at the Johnson and Bedient service station. Everyone who knows Harland likes him and extends to him the heartiest best wishes. RUTH ANN MARTIN This charming, dark-haired, gracious young lady is the editor-in-chief of our Corridor. Because she is so energetic and capable, she inspires her classmates and co-workers to achievements we thought impossible. However, the labor essential in getting out the Corridor does not prevent our brilliant Ruth from being a member of the Honor Society, Choir, Sportsmanship Brotherhood, Mi-Y, Activ- ities Club, and other organizations. Upon graduating, she hopes to attend the Uni- versity of Cincinnati, We predict a bril- liant future for you, Ruth. GERALD McKEEVER lerry McKeever is a very popular senior with a sparkling personality and a winning smile. He is active in the Sports- manship Brotherhood, band, orchestra, and baseball and basketball. ln his after- school hours, Mac also holds down a job at the Quality Cash store. Upon grad- uating, he intends to join the Navy. Best of luck to you, lerry. BETTE. NELSON How do you enjoy married life, Bette? This charming young lady has already been wed but will finish her high school career. She is interested in dancing and is Alumni Columnist for the Falcon . Bette is an active senior whose services we could not do without. We are glad ot have her as one of us, a classmate and a co-worker. IOSEPHINE NOCERO One of the most ambitious and hard- working members of the Senior Class is losie Nocero. She is active in many school organizations, especially as editor- in-chief of the Falcon , We have no doubts that she will succeed in whatever she undertakes because she enters so wholeheartedly into everything that in- terests her.
