The Fairview FHA Chapter with a membership of 68, par¬ ticipated in many projects this year. They started out the year with a pot-luck dinner and formal initiation of new members with their mothers attending. As fund raising pro¬ jects, the chapter sold Tom Watt in the months of October and November. This money is used for state convention and field trips. The Chapter’s in-depth project is involving FHA members with senior citizens. Members were divided into groups to visit the Fountain Manor Nursing Home throughout the year and each member adopted a resident of the home to send gifts and cards; and to visit them. FHA involved many people by having fun, exciting and yet educational meetings. A Halloween party where everyone came dressed in a disguise proved eventful and different. The Children's Home was the center of a meeting that the fathers attended while a movie on self-defense entertained at another monthly meeting . The Archbold Radio Station hosted Fairview FHA in a radio-TV program. This summer Fairview will construct the annual booth at the Defiance Co. Fair. FHA provides many different types of fun and yet educates you in many areas. Being a member means you’ve helped to make someone’s life a little brighter. Being an FHAer means not only talking about being involved . . . You are involved . Officers Advisors Officers: L-R: S. Rosebrook, News Reporter; L. Miller, V. President; P. Basher, Parliamentarian; B. Kuhn, President; P. Johnson, Secretary; E. Hel- lemn, Treasurer; T. Schindler, Recreation Leader.

Fairview's Journalists A Challenge! Putting together the 1974 Warrior was a challenge to even the experienced members on this year’s staff. Besides completing the usual task of coming up with creative layouts, Fairview’s journalists have added eight pages of color to the Warrior and increased the size of the pages from 7 3 4 by 10 1 2 to 8 1 2 by 11 . It took hours of work and a great deal of patience to produce over 150 pages that pleased Mr. Rupp, but the job was finally completed. Although many headaches went into the making of the Warrior, it was also a lot of fun and proved to be very worthwhile. We hope that our efforts were success¬ ful and you are pleased with this year's yearbook. Many members of the staff will be returning next year to make the 1975 Warrior even better. Barb Walker Assistant Editor I get this funny feeling they’re talking about me. KNEELING: C. Mavis, L. Meyers. FRONT, L-R: B. Walker, B. Townsend, M. Money, S. Clark, Mr. Rupp, D. Sailor, B. Hassles, Hard work and Fun . . . Each of the twenty members of the War Whoop staff learned what frustration was this year when Tuesday morning deadlines p°n!!nia[!Inplr rl WatS alwayS a )?assle on Monday evenings with everyone trying to get their page done. It seems there were never enough typewriters to go around and even when you did manage to come up with one it wasn't good enough because you didn’t know how to type . Then there were the glue bottles that were always empty and the blank minds that could never come up with suitable captions and headlines. It was quite a hassle every time another issue was due, but we all survived to publish nine XpwSwh lssu®s ? lhe ar hooP- Despite the frustrations, we did learn a great deal about writing and layouts. Working on the War Whoop staff proved to be a rewarding experience. 5 62 Barb Walker Assistant Editor
