Assemblies The B.G.U. Stage Band under the direc¬ tion of Mr . David Mille, presented mod¬ ern jazz. Assemblies bring the good times to Fairview ! Among the assemblies presented to the student body this year were North and West, a husband and wife team who kept everyone entertained with modern folksongs. Also , Johnny Palmer delivered a lively presentation of memory and sleight of hand . The highlight of the program was when Mr . Palmer told everything that was in TIME magazine, by memory. Bruce Martin, a solo actor, presented poetry in such an interesting fashion that even non¬ poetry lovers enjoyed his act. I Dreamed a World, ” Mother and Son, and Amen were a few of the poems. The Defiance County Sheriff’s Department introduced L.B. , a German police dog especially trained to detect marijuana. Different packets of marijuana, placed around the gym were uncovered by L.B. as he demonstrated his abili¬ ties. Also, the Bowling Green State University Stage Band, under the direc¬ tion of Mr. David Miller, played modern jazz before the student body. The popular band consisted of five trombones, six trumpets, six saxo¬ phones, a trap set, and electric bass, and a piano. North and West entertain with modern folksong . Pick a card, any card ! ! !
