Comedy and Variety Highlights This year the Chorus presented Fairview Follies,” a mixture of various styles of music combined with a touch of humor. All of the members participated in the show and the audience was also included in a smg-a-long consisting of such songs as: In and Schoof Days Tlme’ ''Ut Me CaI1 You S eethean,” MJ5nn n”r?rH°rUS fillev? the srage as they sanS Sunshine In My Soul . Slides were shown of various beauty marks of Amer- X1,1? e chorus sang Morning Has Broken. This song was also dedicated in memory of Jim Kimple . 6 The newly formed Swing Choir performed the song I’d Like MeT also performed ' Varl°US S°l0S and — 1 The music was taken from the 1920 ’s through 1974. Costumes “JS aPPr°Priately to fit the songs and scenery was made by the Drama class to help set the mood . The finale consisted of patriotic songs and the lowering of the American Flag from the ceiling . The members of the chorus considered this year’s musical a tremendous challenge and those who viewed the show know that it was a great success.

The Warrior's Husband Sapiens (Bev) and Hercules (David) come out of hiding as Pomposia (Jane) and Buria (Jean) watch. Thes eus (Tim) withstands Antiope (Myla) pleads with the pain after being shot by Achilles (Mike) to be set free members of the woman from the male camp and return army. to her own. Under the direction of Mr. Dean Edwards, the Fairview Dramatics class presented THE WARRIORS HUSBAND, a comedy satire on women's liberation. The play centered around the Amazon women and their fantastic strength , which was provided by the girdle of Diana . The Amazons had their strength put to the test , when Greek men appeared and attempted to obtain the girdle. After much confusion and a lot of laughs, the Greek warriors returned to their own country leaving the Amazons to return to their old way of life . The class prepared for three weeks and practiced every night the week of the play . The audience responded well , greatly rewarding everyone’s efforts. Pomposia (Jane) comforts her son Sapiens (Bev) as he cries on his mother's shoulder as the Queen insults Sapiens. Pomposia wishes to have the Queen marry Sapiens . Queen Hippolyta (Bozo) sits on her throne as she gives orders to her officers of the army . The male army is planning an attack and a defense is being prepared . 20
